This week's flu report (Word, PDF) shows that we're continuing to see relatively low rates of flu in the state. This is in keeping with how flu season typically begins each fall. What we don't know is how mild or severe flu season will turn out to be. The one thing we do know for sure is that the single best way to stay healthy throughout that season is to get a flu shot. Flu vaccine is safe, effective, and widely available even as you read this. Make an appointment to get vaccinated with your health care provider, or search for a flu vaccination clinic that's convenient for you at www.mylocalclinic.com.
