I totally need to be better at this. What totally sucks is how my allergies prevent me from breathing through my nose properly. I can't get all the air I need unless I breathe through my mouth.
Diaphragmatic breathing was something I used to do more regularly when doing yoga but haven't help on top of. So important to remember things that are usually taken for granted.

Jen, thank you for sharing this resource. It's great that you're practicing deep breathing and meditation. If you have iTunes, there are many free meditation, mindfulness, and guided imagery podcasts available for download. The UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center has some good downloads as well: http://marc.ucla.edu/body.cfm?id=22. You can also check out your local library for meditation CDs and audio books. Stay tuned for a future blog post on meditation!

Robbie, that's a great way to look at it - pausing to center yourself. Doing so even a few times a day has huge benefits to the mind and body!
