This week we are reporting sporadic flu-like activity in the state, up from no activity for the past couple of weeks, due to a confirmed case of H1N1 (swine) flu. As we have been saying, flu can be unpredictable, so if you have not already done so, make sure to get you and your family vaccinated. Find a clinic near you at http://flu.masspro.org.

I am looking for H1N1 vaccine for family members. We live in Boston. Public health keeps wanting people to get vaccinated even now...we keep hearing that message... but when I use the flufinder, no flu clinics come up for Boston. It says "find a flu clinci near you .." above...it doesn't seem to help.
How can my famiily members get vaccinated? They are teenagers and we strongly prefer them to get the nasal vaccine. Is there anywhere in the city (not to private doctor) where it is being given. Private doc says they don't have any. Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------
DPH RESPONDS: Thanks for your question. To find H1N1 vaccine in your area try contacting your local department of public health or a community health center in your area. Another idea is to visit your local pharmacy - many of whom still have H1N1 vaccine available. However, it is important to remember that pharmacies can charge for the vaccine unlike your local board of health or community health centers.
