Olympic-sized Inspiration

Maya is the Physical Activity Coordinator for DPH 

I love the Olympics!  Winter or Summer Games, it doesn’t matter to me.  I love all of it - from the inspirational Olympic Torch Relay to the exciting Opening Ceremonies to the touching human interest stories behind these athletic triumphs to, of course, the games themselves. 

I am always so amazed and inspired by the dedication, hard work, and drive that these athletes possess.  Never mind the sheer athleticism that drives their bodies to accomplish the most awe-inspiring feats. 

It’s just so cool, isn’t it?  Of course, living in New England, we must celebrate our share of athletes who are in the Games this year!  Check this interactive map out to learn more about our other members of Team USA! 

Now, it’s not over yet… not by a long shot!  We’ve got one more week to keep sending good vibes to our Olympians!  Go Team USA!

I agree, I can't wait for the Olympics to roll around--summer or winter. Even sports I normally do not watch interest me especially when Americans have a chance at a medal.
