Like all of you, we at DPH were deeply saddened by the news yesterday of what appears to be our first pediatric flu-related death this flu season. Child flu deaths, while rare, are tragic reminders of how serious influenza can be for some people. We have a number of resources at our web site about the flu; how to prevent it and how to care for someone with the flu.
